For Mother's day weekend we made a pilgrimage to the Mecca of home shopping--the Ikea store in Draper. I took my stimulus check and did my best to stimulate Ikea's bottom line. It was a lot of fun, unless you ask Cody. He isn't as fond as I am of the Ikea. While we were there we took the kids down to Lehi to Thanksgiving Point. They have a cool dinosaur museum there which the kids really enjoyed. We watched a dinosaur movie in 3-D and Lillie kept flinching everytime the dinosaurs came at her. We also went to the petting zoo for pony rides. A good time was had by all.
We are currently in the middle of remodeling the basement and it is becoming quite the ordeal. Cody can only work on it on his days off, so it is proceeding slowly. We are hoping to have most of the bathroom and the new bedroom done by the end of June, pray for us.
So I am posting some pics of the kids at Thanksgiving Point and our remodeling, also some of Cannon in the Johnny Jump up 'cuz he is super cute.

I'm very jealous that you got to go to IKEA.
I love that store! We went to that dinosaur museum last time we were in town...A girl from here got marriend to a boy from Utah, and we went down to see them at their reception. We stopped at the new Cabelas and then the dinosaur museum before heading over to the reception. The kids absolutly loved it, but we kind of had to rush and the kids were mad that I wouldn't let them play in the sand at the end, b/c I didn't want them dirty for the reception.
Good luck on your basement! Love the NERT face Cody has on in the picture!
Jody, you look way too good for just having a baby!! I hope we get to see your new addition soon. Your basement looks like fun. I love IKEA, too. I was just there for the first time this weekend.
By new addition, I meant your son, not the basement. Although, I hope to see that soon, too.
I'm glad you could go on a little shopping expedition. What did you get?? The kids look like they are having all kinds of fun at the museum. Thanks for sending some more pictures of little guy Cannon. He is growing so fast.....can't believe he is 3 months already. Loved Cody's "WHAT?" face. And you look really stylin' in your tool belt. Which part of the room are you remodeling? Right as you go down the stairs or around by the TV area? I can't tell from the picture.
